1992 lexus ls 400 ac question

Last year I had a new compressor installed and converted to the 134 freo replacement...car seems like it needs a little boost of 134...my question is when converted do they also change the valves for adding the 134? I looked and they look the same size as before the conversion...in that case I can use the refilling hose from the old r-12 system....will that hose connection fit the 134 cans?....hope this wasn't confusing...I know on newer cars the fitting diameter is larger then the r-12 system....any help will be appreciated....thank you
