Hi! Every time I delete a file from my computer since yesterday, the file will be transferred to the Recycle Bin but the window saying that my computer is currently deleting the file won't close by itself like it normally does, even when the file I'm deleting is a really small file say, like 500kb.
I think this may have something to do with me deleting all the files in my iTunes folder in one go--yesterday I deleted approximately 55Gb worth of music and video files, and the problem started after that.
I'd like to know what's wrong with my computer and how to fix it. I really have no idea why the window won't close by itself. My computer's running on a 64-bit Vista Home Premium, Intel Core2Duo with 4GB RAM and 320GB HDD, and it also has AVG Internet Security, if that helps. I haven't encountered this problem before, obviously, so any help is certainly appreciated.
Thank you so much in advance.
Oh, and I just found out a few minutes ago that the problem isn't limited to deleting files, but also includes moving files. I can move and delete files no problem, but the window that shows the progress of moving/deleting the file won't close by itself even when the file itself is already moved/deleted. I also tried deleting files while in Safe Mode and it worked out well, but I'm still stumped as to what the problem is and how to fix it.
I am experiencing the same issue. Yet I personally haven't made any changes to the system recently short of installing Vista SP2 a week ago.
Same goes for me. Also, aren't jpeg and other picture files suppose to preview themselves in normal thumbnail mode? Mine just shows the standard Windows Photo Viewer icon. is this related, coz im also experiencing this...answers are very much appreciated.
Same problem here. Except I'm still running XP. Started about two months ago.
