Yes Microsoft offers updates for Windows XP every 2nd Thursday of the month, (or it could be every 3rd).
If you use Microsoft's Windows Defender anti-spyware utility, then it can receive updates at any time.
Can you explain your problem more?

I want to say 2013 is the final cutoff date, but that could very easily be extended like they did with Windows 2000, and I think even NT4 before that.

My error, and thanks for giving the correct day.
I couldn't think of the term used, (Patch Tuesday), and Googling XP Update Thursday and similar didn't find any useful results. Now I know why!
