Recommendation for Home Audio System & a Kitchen Radio

Hey gang, I'm looking to upgrade my home audio system to something nice for my PS3 Blue Ray, but don't want to go broke in the process. I'm also looking for a good kitchen radio so I can listen to it during the day when I'm at home. Any thoughts on what brands or models I should look for.

The only req I have for the radio is an iPod adapter, great sound quality, and excellent reception.
