ebay

by marshatroxler - 12/29/07 10:49 AM In reply to: 4/05/05 Do you use eBay? If so, how often? by Lee Koo (ADMIN) Moderator

I have used ebay to sell and buy from for about 5 years with very little problems. However, recently I learned that while my account was inactive for a couple of weeks, someone logged into it and was selling cars and running up a huge bill.

I never knew anything about it until ebay contacted me to let me know that they suspected someone had highjacked my account and they canceled all car auctions and corrected the billing. It was out of the norm for me to be selling cars on there as I had not done that before.

I do appreciate ebay doing that otherwise I never would have known the problem until I logged back into it, however, the thought that someone can go into your account so easly and use it for their advantage it unnerving.

I doubt if I will continue to buy or sell on ebay again until they fix their security problem.

Feedback system about to change: seller blackmailing me

by Paul Lace - 4/30/08 12:06 AM In reply to: 4/05/05 Do you use eBay? If so, how often? by Lee Koo (ADMIN) Moderator

Auction-genie-inc is the mother of all EBay a**es. I bought 4 items from him. He knew he had provided me with a lousy service and that EBay was about to change the rules (seller will no longer be able to leave negs.) So, fearing that I would leave negatives and he would no longer be able to retaliate, he blackmailed me: either you leave 4 positives or I'll leave 4 negatives before they change the rules and then you'll be forced to go to mutual feedback removal. I'm not going to do that, I won't be blackmailed by this guy, but I'll spread this story as fast as I can. Obviously I have already reported him to EBay (the idiot blackmailed me using the EBay system) but I really don't expect them to do anything about it. Nobody should buy anything from auction-genie-inc of Little Falls NJ and no one should trust them to sell stuff on EBay. I'm going even further, no one should buy anything from EBay, period. I'm done with them, this is the last straw.

As I understand, I'm not the only buyer who had to suffer this.

Ebay closed my ebay store 5 years+$60.000.00 invested

by miniman777 - 9/12/08 9:04 AM In reply to: 4/05/05 Do you use eBay? If so, how often? by Lee Koo (ADMIN) Moderator

CAN SOME ONE HELP !!!
My Ebay store( min7man *1453)” A Walk in The Past “ was closed on August 4 2008. Ebay said it was because of to many negative feedback but my feedback is at 98.1%. I had over 2400 article in my store that cost me between $3 and $7 each to list . My store inventory was in the $200.000.00 mark +. I have invested way over $60.000.00 and 5 years of my time purchasing article for my Ebay store. I employ 2 full time and 1 part time employees . I work my Ebay from an office that I rent and turn it into a Ebay store. also included in my office is 3 running computer that I use to list and work my Ebay store from . I also had to rent a large storage falacitie for my Ebay store out of town because of the 10000’s of article that I have bought over the years to resale on Ebay and I also work Ebay from home witch is also turn into an office and Ebay storage . Ebay was my only income and know they shut me down . I had sales daily in my store and making from $1.500.00 to $4.000.00 a month . I also have grief with Paypal . I lost over $1000.00 last years because Paypal refunded buyers that never send me back my parcel and pay pal’s policy is that the other party have to supply proof of shipping with a tracking number or anything else . In 3 or 4 case of mine no tracking number was ever supply and Paypal still refunded them the full amount and they end up keeping the parcel too. I call Paypal and they told me to work it out with the other party that perhaps a mistake was done and they offer no help at all . I send Ebay a few emails in the last month but all I got was email from Ebay telling me that I deserved what has append to me . I was a power sellers and a silver member 2 months ago . I got a phone call from an Ebay reprehensive to congratulate me on being a New Ebay Silver member . Instead of Thanking her I told her how I lost over $1000.00 last years because of how Ebay and Paypal operates and after bitching at her for about 45 minutes she thanked me and told me that she would direct my complaints to the right departments. I guess she did just that and took it upon her self the Shut me down . Telling some one there fault should not be just cause to close my store down . I have send the above email to about 20 Ebay reprehensive in the hope that some one may help me but it’s been over 3 days and Not one reply yet . There more people complaining about Ebay then me . So why don’t the Government get involve and close them down for a few months to see how they would feel .
Can some one help ?
What can I do ?
I have bills coming in everyday and 3 rent to pay .
my name is Michel @ 613-698-9467 or michelminiman@yahoo

Dear Ebay representative.
On Monday August 4 2008 my Ebay store Min7man “A walk In The past” was shut down perhaps by accident
Over the past two years min7man “A Walk In The Past” has generated an annual revenue of $15.000.00 and over and has served over 1400 clients. From the early days of operation “A Walk In The Past” has grown from 5 sales per month to sometimes 75 per month with expansions planned for the fall and winter of this year, many clients have been very satisfied with my service and some of their feedback is included below:

1-shipped at a reasonable rate and item was packed very well exactly as advertised.
2-exact item , very good packing, very fast shipping, recommended seller
3-Well packaged and received in due time. Interesting item for collector.
4-Everything wonderful! fast shipping! Well packed Great seller! Thanks!! A+++
5-Product just as described Fast shipping Highly Recommended E-Bayer Thank you A++
6-fast and professional
7-Item as described...shipped promptly,.promptly credited accidental overpayment
8-Excellent seller. Wonderful items, well packaged. Thanks so much! 10/10
9-excellent condition of item, good price ,fair shipping cost
10-OUTSTANDING SELLER. Pleasant to work with. Beautiful plate, carefully packaged.

I believe there may have been an error or some technological glitch that may have caused “A Walk In The Past” to be shut down and any exploration of the matter would be greatly appreciated.
Please email me at miniman777@hotmail.com or phone me at 613-721-2700 or 613-698-9467.
Thank you for your time and consideration

by DivaDonna - 9/27/08 11:01 AM In reply to: 4/05/05 Do you use eBay? If so, how often? by Lee Koo (ADMIN) Moderator

There is a new auction site. http://www.virtualgemsemporium.com
Right now it is jewelry auctions. By Nov 1st there will be newly added categories. First 30 days of listings are free and after that the price is less than Ebays.
Please try them out and pass the word. The site is now up and running very smoothly.
Thanks.

Ebay Sucks for Sellers....

by pcxtrader - 10/7/08 12:10 PM In reply to: 4/05/05 Do you use eBay? If so, how often? by Lee Koo (ADMIN) Moderator

As a seller you can no longer leave negative feedback for buyers! That is ridiculous! If a buyer continually bids on and never pays for items they should be punished by getting negative feedback. These non paying buyers cost sellers money and make them not want to use Ebay... I will never use Ebay again.

Good Advice to eBay STOCKHOLDERS! - DUMP IT NOW!

by renaisanc9 - 11/18/08 4:27 PM In reply to: 4/05/05 Do you use eBay? If so, how often? by Lee Koo (ADMIN) Moderator

eBay STOCKHOLDERS

All you need do is to take one look around the Internet to see that eBay is unwinding... fast!

With its FASCISTIC NAZI MANAGEMENT, it's losing not only the tens of thousands of small businesses it had INTENTIONALLY WANTED TO LOSE, it has already lost MANY OF ITS LARGEST SELLERS - $500K to $1+ MILLION Dollar businesses that will no longer put up with a DICTATORSHIP that charges outrageous amounts so that its sellers might be USED & ABUSED.

DUMP EBAY STOCK before it's too late. As well as it did back at the start, when eBay was a great company with a terrific President & CEO, Meg Whitman, THAT IS HOW POORLY IT WILL DO FROM HERE ON!

eBay's a disaster in every way imaginable. You're getting this news from those of us on THE INSIDE (both sellers as well as actual eBay employees who were "in" on the planning & current restructuring.)

DUMP EBAY STOCKS NOW... before it's too late.

Stop using eBay

by princess_dee09 - 12/2/08 4:14 PM In reply to: Good Advice to eBay STOCKHOLDERS! - DUMP IT NOW! by renaisanc9

Ok, as of today no more eBay for me, I was talking with one of their ex-employees at the zoo today, they live there now, you can find them in the ape exhibit, this employee said they are not to be trusted and to stay away and do you have a banana, it was really hard to keep their attention, but, I gladly report he is doing much better there. Hope this helps everyone.

Free new Ebay, PayPal, Ebay suspensions, PayPal limited, bus

by jojokinkaid - 6/5/09 3:13 PM In reply to: 4/05/05 Do you use eBay? If so, how often? by Lee Koo (ADMIN) Moderator

There is a forum I found on the internet that is free, and helps with Ebay, PayPal, business and the law. Just post any question, the experts will answer it if it has not already been answered!

The forum has a lot of expert advice on it. http://www.modeeworld.com/forums I found advice there about how to avoid EBAY suspensions, get past PayPal limitations, also lots of detailed help on creating your own business, getting past trademark violations, VERO and lots more. Plus general advice on how best to sell on EBAY, what sells the best, how to get the best price for your product, really everything related to EBAY and internet business.

Also advice about how EBAY really works and how PayPal really works. The inside scoop.

Beautiful forum. I was made a moderator of the forum and I love it!
