Nighttime video using infrared light and camcorders
by bhuberty - 5/31/09 7:13 AMTrying to find a camcorder with a built in infrared light so one can record night time images of wildlife. In particular, I need to set it to start at a particular time (say 2:30am) to record. This does not have to be totally self sufficient without a power cord attached but running off a battery and be able to record for a couple hours would be nice. And it needs to be quiet. Suggestions?

Camcorders usually don't have built-in timers.

Just make sure which ever one you get is able to be used with that software. Most camcorders (Sony especially) have infrared lighting.
