Coverting Digital Photos to DVD Format

Please explain in detail how to do this...
The photos have been saved to CD's and play in PC..I have DVD-R discs

However it won't play in a free standing DVD player and display on a TV. It will play on your PC DVD player and display on the screen.
To make a DVD that will display on your TV you will most likely have to purchase a program and most of them are rather costly. Such as

Nero makes a DVD slide show that is suppose to play in an ordinary DVD player but I've not ever been able to play the DVD in my player.

Digital Photos to DVD slideshow/movie

They play in my DVD players and TV but I've heard that some players are fussier. Movie Maker should be installed on your PC if its XP or Vista. If not, I believe you can download it free from MS.

They have a free version that makes a nice show. It is lacking in help, but I played with it and got good results. They also have a "for purchase" version.
