Why won't that thread go away?
Natali has completely ruined peoples lives by hosting the podcast and the only way they can vent those frustrations is through a web forum.
Oh, and in before the:
-It's not natali's fault, it's just the chemistry
-We have a right to give CNET feedback
-We just miss Molly
-[verbally abusive comment toward natali]
-iPhones suck donkeyballz
I think the 'I'm not feeling Natali' thread has been through this cycle about 4-5 times already.
Come on... really?
I tend over exaggerate issues BoL related all the way to 11.
It's what I do. I'm kwahhn. Nice to meet you.
I would just like to say, that if someone opens a new thread on this matter (and someone will), I will personally flame that user until |I get banned off of the CNET forums|. I mean, I really don't care. nuff said.
Everyone needs to get over it and move on Natali is here to stay go get over it should be sweating the small stuff it is all small stuff.
...the fact that we have that thread going where people can post their thoughts on her.
I don't think it's working though.
How big can a thread get before it is locked?
is doing (in the case of the big "not feeling thread", posting) the same thing over and over again while expecting a different result. I haven't seen any change in the lineup since the thread began. Lots of essentially repeated posts by repeated posters isn't making much difference. I vote to rename it the "tilting at windmills" thread.
if things are obviously not going to change. Its like someone loudly announcing at a party that they are leaving because nobody will talk to them. But instead of leaving they they just keep coming back in and making the same announcement over and over.
And I admit I did not like Natali's awkward early performances on the show but she has really come a long way. It feels like BOL is back on track to me.
At least it seems for the most part to be helping to keep the Natali bashing down to one easily avoided thread. I think it's fine if people want to whine as long as it's civil.
And I don't believe at this point anyone thinks that the thread is going to change anything. Especially when half of the posts are in favor of Natali. ![]()
A 50% approval rating is nothing to be proud of.
But I agree that some good can come of the discussion. For example, it can be a place to give feedback, such as:
Don't interrupt other people when they're still talking about the story!
Never start a transition with "speaking of..." or "another...that..."
My point was that I don't think anyone expects the thread to change anything.
If you consider that less than 1% of the listeners post to the forums. And most people think the best way for a thread to die is simply ignoring it (don't feed the trolls). And yet the thread that's all about getting Natali off the show is *still* about 50/50. Then it really is just a complaints thread now.
agreed, discussion has been had, points made... the crew, producer, CNET/CBS, etc. will figure out what to do from here and so will the listenership...

Controversial topics tend to gather momentum.
Clearly like her or not she has generated more controversy than not. Thus the tread is valid, and the discussion valid, and the angst real.
I'm now several months behind on my episodes. That started when Natalie took over for Molly. Not sure if it's the change or my promotion giving me less time, but the interest isn't there like it was before.
