Posted in the Samsung forum (http://forums.cnet.com/5208-13973_102-0.html?messageID=3036677&tag=forums06;search-results#3036677) seven days ago but haven't gotten a response.
Figured that I'd contact the forum's moderator to see what was up so searched forum FAQs but found no answer on how to contact a forum's moderator.
Rather frustrating.
There's no easy way to contact the Samsung Representatives directly, even for us Moderators, but I have bumped your post back up to the top of the forum listing.
Hopefully that will get it noticed for you.
Just a note about your Samsung product link though. I went to that web site and saw that there was an option to "Add" that product to your cart. It seems you can purchase it direct from the SamsungParts.com web site.
Is that not what you wanted?
Mark
Thanks for responding, MarkFlax.
Yes, there is an "Add to Cart" button but like I mentioned, it also says "Back Order." I figured why should I pay up-front for something with no claimed shipping date? Could be a couple of weeks; could be a couple of months.
Regarding moderator contact, how DOES one contact a forum's moderator? There is a "meet the moderators" link but no apparent way to contact them directly. Is that intentional?
The Cnet forums' PM feature was removed due to a planned upgrade, one which, unfortunately, has never been completed. Thus, at this time, it is not possible to contact any member, including moderators, directly. We sincerely hope that will be addressed soon.
Also, the Samsung forum does not have a moderator assigned to it. Rather, the Samsung representatives keep an eye on matters and submit an offensive post alert if an issue arises. (Samsung representatives do not have moderation capabilities.)
Regards,
John
I have checked FAQ without help. So...I am asking you. How do I post to the Samsung forum without doing so as a reply to a previous post? I am just a little computer literate so any help you can give me would be appreciated. Thanks!
The forums FAQs have not been updated for quite some time, so just follow the following three generic steps:
1.) Visit http://forums.cnet.com
2.) Click the forum of your choice.
3.) Click the red "Create a New Thread" button.
Hope this helps,
John
Thanks for your attempt to help. Unfortunately, once I am in the forum I do not see the red "create a new thread" tab. Am I missing something?
This screenshot illustrates the button that should be there. If not, you most likely have an application or add-on/extension that blocks images and is preventing the button from being displayed, one that needs tweaked or disabled. As a temporary workaround, you can click here to create a new thread in the Samsung forum.
Regards,
John
Thanks for the screen shot. No such luck on my end. I will try your other link. Thanks again.
