I just installed the windows 7 RC and I was able to get it working fine. The problem is that the system is extremely slow on boot even with no other programs installed. Once it shows the "starting windows" logo, it just goes to a black screen for probably about 1 and a half minutes. If I leave it there it eventually starts, but this did not happen under the old Beta, or in Vista.
Here are the system specs:
Intel Core 2 Duo E8400 A 3.0 ghz
2 GB DDR2 RAM
Nvideo Geforce 9600GT w/ 512 MB RAM
250 GB SATA Hard Drive
Is anyone having a similar problem?
How did you install Windows 7? Are you running it as a clean install or did you partition? I haven’t seen many problems like this, but I can do some searching (depending on how you’re booting) and try to find a fix.

There are no partitions.
After trying it again today though it seems that its sped up on its own. It could have been one of the updates its downloaded, but I'm not sure. If I have any other problems I will let you know. Thanks for your help.
