I'm stressing way too much over this! I'm choosing between the Dell XPS 430-121B and the Gateway LX6810-01. I want something to use for internet, photo storage and editing, transferring camcorder movies to DVD, streaming video and music storage. I'm not a hard core PC gamer as I have a PS3, but it would be nice to get the occasional game here and there and be able to run it smoothly.
It seems the Dell is faster (enough to notice?) and from what I've seen has better reviews overall. The Gateway has the better graphics card. Anyone have personal experience with either system, good or bad?
Thanks - I'm kind of a newbie at this!
Go for gateway the video and memory is much better and also cheaper than dell.
Please don't stress, It's like worrying over buying a BMW 5 series or the new Audi A6, you probably can't go wrong with either one. Both of these systems will do video editing very well and at $120 cheaper the Gateway will leave you enough money to buy some video editing SW if you outgrow MS Movie Maker. So buy stress free and instead worry about what soundtrack to overlay on last year’s summer vacation video.
