I am considering either buying a blackberry or something like the LG Dare...
what would be the advantages to choosing a blackberry that would justify the additional $15-20 in monthly charges compared to the Dare?
both monthly plans have unlimited data and same voice plans, I am curious as to what functionality might be better
FYI I am looking at the Curve.
thanks!
It's definitely not necessary, but one way to access your work email. For personal use you would not need it and could opt for the less expensive data plan.

i love my new blackberry storm forget the dare. lots of free apps for the storm. movies tv shows on your storm all this n more on your blackberry not the dare get E-mail on your storm like your computer not on the dare hope this helps
i am a blackberry fan and has been for many years. i am using my third now started with 87xx to 83xx and now 8900 Curve. I was MOTO fan, but now will never go back.
before i got my 8320 Curve, i compared it with iPhone. ended up with 8320. before recent upgrade, i again compared BB to iPhone 3G. i picked 8900 Curve over Bold, but it was easy choice comparing to iPhone or others.
i use a lot of push mail and there is nothing like BB push mail system. I have never use LG Dare before. So bottom line is how you use your phone on daily basis. given the choice from Verizon, i would go for LG Dare as BB Storm needs serious OS improvement. there have been numerous complains and many feel that BB rushed releasing it.
good luck.
i just saw that you are looking at the curve. i would wait for the BB code name Niagara 9630. it is going to be very similar to 8900 Curve, which is great phone BTW.
