Netbook and hulu or netflix

by blackflame451 - 3/10/09 1:08 PM

I have been looking at getting a dell mini 9 but I was curious if anyone had any experience with netflix or hulu on the dell mini 9. I would also like to know if there is a better netbook under 300 that would be a better choice for playing netflix and hulu on?

I'll likely pop for the newer dual core Atoms when they arrive but the current crop is quite nice.

It's just an Atom n270 at 1.66GHz but I'm still wondering if people are trying this out or not.

So far, so good. The only app that seems to take a dive is a video conference app. But that didn't run well on some Pentium M laptops.

I'm curious if the Atom n280's is that much better then the n270's. Either way i cant wait on the Ion to come out so that i don't have to worry as much about video on a netbook.

asus 1000HE - fullscreen hulu lags a little bit, netflix streaming is pretty smooth

I've heard that flash chokes up a lot of netbooks

so be careful (the Engadget guys were talking about this problem on a recent podcast).

This is a huge problem if you ask me. Online streaming is one of the main reasons people get these devices so why put processors that can;t handle something as common as flash?
