I am assuming you are either using At&t or T-mobile. You might find the At&t 8925-Tilt (HTC TYTN II) or At&t 8525 (HTC TYTN) at a reduced price and would meet your stated needs.

Sorry, forgot to mention I am with AT&T atm

Does anybody know anything about the HTC Universal/O2 XDA exec? It's specs says it has a processor comparable to newer cell phones. Ebay has them for $350 and it comes with a TomTom satellite receiver

skip the Universal it- it's four years old now

Unless they've upgraded it, that's old technology per se. I'd consider one of the newer ATT netbooks if screen size is a pressing issue and you still want some sort of subsidized device w/ wifi. You could also look at the ATT Fuze, I believe it's $249 w/ a VGA screen/wifi/etc.

Go with Nokia

Hi there,

The phones which you are talking about are sure gtreat but If you are with AT&T and you are looking for phone which is best for your office work, then I really think that you should go with the Nokia E series.

There are some very amazing phones in the Nokia E series family, my favorite one is the Nokia E51. I lpove that phone firstly because its really cheap & secondly because internet in that phone is really fast.

Take a look in ExoticPhone, their prices are way better & they sell Original OEM only.

Anyways since you have a budget of $400.00 then let me give you a suggestion, go with the E71, it comes in two amazing colors, grey steel & white steel. Choose any one.

I only mention the 8525 and 8925 because even though they are discontinued, they can probably bought on the cheap and seem to meet the OP's needs.

8925 still not cheap

by Pepe7 - 4/30/09 12:48 PM In reply to: phones by birdmantd

YMMV. I've still seen them listed for $300-400. It's still a relatively powerful phone (just not an iPhone). Not sure it's worth bothering for the 8525. There's going to be a trade off going too many successive models back just to save $50.

Better don't buy at exoticphone.

1. They have had a bad history here at this form a few years ago.
2. Member sherlockabruce already had many post deleted in which he recommended them; that's considered spam here at that isn't allowed.
3. Bad rating at http://www.resellerratings.com/store/ExoticPhone_GSM_International_Inc
4. Very different opinions in http://www.resellerratings.com/forum/merchant-discussion-shopping-advice/123691-watch-out-***************-they-perfect-scam-artist.html for example.

You can hardly call them a reputable company. I wouldn't take the risk.

It's www.resellerratings.com/forum/merchant-discussion-shopping-advice/123691-watch-out-exotic phone-com-they-perfect-scam-artist.html
without the space before 'phone'.
