Samsung 6 Series TV - Dell PC Connection Mode Not Supported

I tried to connect my Dell Latitude 6000 laptop to Samsung 6 series tv (LE40A656A1FXX)with 15-pin VGA connector. I pressed Fn + F7 But it shows as mode not supported. What could be the problem? Can anybody suggest the same?

Try pressing FN+F8.
Does the computer recognize it as an extended monitor?
A few ideas in the meantime:
1. Update the BIOS
2. Update the video drivers
3. Make sure that the computer is outputting a supported resolution (you can find those in tha manual)
