My Samsung lcd tv has an hdmi input and I need a new pc. I am looking at the Acer Aspire x1700 as it seems to be one of the few sub $500 machines that has an hdmi output. I mainly surf the net, write email, read my camera card and watch a lot of Hulu. The machine seems to have impressive numbers for the money. Is it too good to be true? Could you please suggest alternatives? Thanks.
Hi -
I'm personally a fan of HP. You pick a base model and customize it. Why pay for things you don't need. And they'll ship right to your door.

I use an HDMI cable from my HP laptop to my Samsung HDTV. Works great!
