RIAA Denial of Service Attack

by gcoryer - 4/10/09 11:13 AM

If the RIAA is going to try to bring the temporarily defunct French proposal to this country, i.e. that the penalty for having been accused of music theft three times is the cancellation of the user's access to the internet, it seems to me this is a blatant denial of service attack. Be interesting to see which laws apply in such cases.

Reverse it.

If the RIAA makes three false accusations their ability to make accusation is revoked.

Then I can live with their proposal of banning the ones they accuse. Oh and since no proof is needed it should merely be that the RIAA is accused three times of false accusation. We do need to keep this fair after all.
