Is that a special type of tool that you have seen?
What type of "crud" are you talking about and what kind of computer do you have? An old Windows 95 laptop has different requirements than a newer Windows Vista SP1 machine but you haven't mentioned what you're using.. And if you're looking to clean out Virus "crud" you use one tool.. Spyware "crud" you may choose to use a different one.. Temporary Internet Files, Temp files, System Restore files, you don't need any tools although some choose to use such..
And have you tried checking Google yet?
So we need a little better explanation in language we can understand.
