This might just be because I live on a college campus, and thus have the regular crappy internet connection and leaving early for classes, but I don't get why people love live streams so much. Why would I put out the time in the middle of the morning to stare at Tom, Jason and Natalie's faces? The few times I've done it, the chatroom was too busy, and as much as I like the hosts, staring at them for 40mins seems a little voyeur-ish.
...these people don't have real jobs. The whole "live" movement that is going on is such a waste of money, I am shocked anyone thinks it is a good idea. The downfall of TWiT started when it began focusing on the live stream, we will have to wait and see if the CNET shows follow a similar path. At least CNET is offering the video as a downloadable podcast.
