headphone with mic for iPhone

I recently bought the griffin TuneBuds Mobile

they are great, they do what I want, but,
the internal wiring isn't strong enough
it bent inside and it won't work right.
I'm afraid my only alternative is the new Apple ear buds
but those are bit pricy and they only come in white.
I like the mic and button to control my music.
any other alternative?

I also travel with a cheap pair of throwaways I got for $3.00 with the mic from DealExtreme that is keep in my laptop bag.(http://www.dealextreme.com/details.dx/sku.13244)
