Hey Guys,
I was just looking at the new iPod shuffle and admiring its thinness and awesome look. However, I am taken back by its lack of buttons and proprietary cabling. I do not mind using the expensive Apple ones (honestly their not that bad), but I do not like the extra added weight of the remote on it as I am an avid runner. The length of the Apple earphones is also too long as usually you put the shuffle on top of your shirt. I already have earphones that fit me perfectly.
I was wondering if there are any alternatives to the new shuffle in terms of size. I don't care about their brand or such; they just need to be small, light, and sound good.
Thanks in Advance,
Kavi Agarwal
Have a look at Sandisk Sansa models -- much less money and they have a screen (for heaven's sake) and the memory can be expanded using SD cards.
The Sansa Clip is Sandisk's answer to the Shuffle. It comes with a clip (hence the name) for your clothes, and has a small screen. It has also gotten great ratings for sound quality in it's price range. If you don't mind waiting for a good deal, Woot.com gets Sansa players up for sale sometimes. When it's on woot.com, you could expect it to be around $20.
