Convertable top is unoperable, Radio as well.Fresh water damage was apparent seat moduals were changed and they now operate. The car runs great all other systems are fine. Please Help i'm at my ends whit !!!
The first thing to do is check the fuses. If they are fine, then you probably have deeper problems. A new stereo head unit is a good idea, mostly because you can get one with iPod and USB connectivity for not too much money. As for the power top, if the electric motor is actually damaged, that shouldn't be too hard to replace. If you're really on a budget, start checking the junkyards for a replacement motor.
Where is the motor for the convertable top?
The convertible top motor is located within the boot of the car sealed behind the boot where the top folds into you might have a bit of trouble finding the two motor but I assure you they are there: P on both sides of the car just in front of the wheel arches. if you’re unsure I would just contact a mechanics and just pop in to see if they can offer any advice, would think they would but I have heard that the fluid in these likes to congeal which is why if not used for a while might become stuck or unable to be opened and stiff. Just a little suggestion I would try using a hair dryer to warm up the fluid once you find the motors to uncongenial the fluid and then give it a try to see if it opens.
