why don't you just log off and shut down then restart (re boot) and leave the computer on un-attended for some time 4hrs then log off shut down wait 15sec then reboot the system then try using IE8 ,if this doesn't show improvment HERE'S YOUR REQUEST Start > Control Panel > Add or Remove Programs > Change or Remove Programs(in the top left hand corner of that window)Scroll and find IE8 and delete , now after this is done IE8beta will only revert back to the previous version that was there before IE8beta was downloaded and installed so don't worry too much BEFOR YOU GO THROUGH WITH THIS WAIT FOR A SECOND OPTION,OK!?

Domlagreca-
Hi, my name’s Cody, and I’m working with the Internet Explorer Outreach Team to help folks that have questions about their copies of IE8.
Sorry to hear that you’re having trouble with the speed of the beta edition of Internet Explorer 8. However, if you’re still using the Internet Explorer 8 Beta, you might want to try updating to the latest edition of the browser, Internet Explorer 8 RC1. Although this isn’t the final version, it is a much more stable version than the beta and should closely resemble the final release. Here’s a link to the download, if you are interested: http://www.microsoft.com/windows/internet-explorer/download-ie.aspx?ocid=ie8_sm_a
Let me know if this is helpful, or if you have any questions about IE8!
Thanks,
Cody

Go to http://support.microsoft.com/kb/957700. This will uninstall it for you.
