I am running Mac 10.5.6 and I have installed VMware Fusion so that i can try and run Windows XP since i have some useful applications.
However, when it boots i cannot get the mouse or keyboard to work which means that i cannot do anything on the virtualisation.
How can i fix this. Thanks for any help.
Apple and VMWare need to know when this happens.
Be sure to supply the make, model of the Apple and version numbers of the software parts when you post so we can check and see if it's a known bug.

I had similar problems when I allowed the software to install windows ... and what I ended up doing was to start over. I installed windows in boot camp and then re-installed Fusion, and I have not had any problems since ... the only issue was I had to call Microsoft twice for a new key. I think both parallels and fusion say there is functionality loss doing it that way, but I don't have the resource issues ... everything works!
I prefer to load software or updates in boot camp and run fusion only when I want to work side by side with the Mac, which is rare. Windows runs better/smoother in boot camp ...
...it also helps if you like running the virtual, to go in settings and kick up the resource allocation. I upgraded my macbook to 4gb and pushed the allocation up over a gb.
