Login

by lowknapp - 2/26/09 8:59 AM

my Windows Vista Home Premium has recently given me login problems. at switchon, my name comes up for me to enter my password. after entering the password and left clicking, either nothing happens (and I have to start again)or there is a lengthy delay (a number of minutes) before the password is accepted and the desktop commences.
any ideas as to what is happening?

1. Do this -> http://forums.cnet.com/5208-6122_102-0.html?forumID=44&threadID=328220&messageID=2968150&tag=forums06;posts#2968150

2. Install that -> http://www.download.com/Autorun-Eater/3000-2239_4-10752777.html

Your post does not have enough clues but I'll share one here. I was getting a long boot and login time. I tracked it down to some USB device. Long story? No. I moved the device on the other side of an USB hub and it's all better. Is that your issue? I can't tell because the level of detail of your post is not there.
