I have just purchased a Panasonic TH46PZ850. I am trying to find out how the TV can recieve a wireless internet signal to take advantage of the internet features the TV offers.. As I already have internet in my home and a wireless router I do not want to run a new and seperate internet line to the TV. There must be something I can connect to the TV to recieve my existing wireless internet signal. The TV is obviously set up to recieve internet but how do I get wireless??? I hope someone has a soulution for me! Thanks!!
The TV is designed for a wired connection, and a very limited one, described as www.lite. It has no wireless capability.
I realize the TV itself does not have wireless reception capabilities but I have since recieved an email from Panasonic advising me that all I need is what is known as a Wireless Ethernet Bridge. They even provided me with suggested brands and model numbers. Issue resolved!
Thanks!
I have the same problem that you had....I just purchased a Panasonic Viera plasma and need help with the connection to my existing wireless internet. Would you provide me with the brand and model that worked for you?
Thanks!
The Netgear WGPS606. I found mine (I bought a second one I liked it so much) for 25 bucks each refurb.
I can only guess they were that cheap because setup is not intuitive. In short you lie to the setup program you are going to setup the print server. You set up the bridge and then it proceeds to start the printer setup and you bail out. Viola, a bridge!
