Trying to locate High Speed Services

by CaptainHowdy000 - 2/20/09 6:07 AM

Howdy All
I remember hearing Tom mention a website that lists all of the high speed services available in your area in a previous episode. The site he brought up lists all of the local or rural wireless services besides just cable, dsl, and satellite available in your area. I tried looking through the show notes between episodes 884 to 914 (which is when I started listening) and looking around on the forums as well but am having no luck. I want to use this to see if I can help my parents get anything better then dialup at our farm. If anyone can find or remember it that would be great.
Thanks
Tim

I don't remember what Tom mentioned, but I use Speedtest.net a lot for this very purpose. On their homepage click on the Global Stats link and choose your area from the options. Their data is gathered from people doing tests on their site, so should be pretty accurate.
