Title says it all. I have tried ejecting via the program, via my computer but all it does it make horrible noises.
Any ideas?
It's a brand new dvd which came with a story book. I put it in ready to show the class and it took a long time to read the dvd but eventually it played.
Any help gratefully received.
Jill
Does it act the same way with all disc that you put into the drive? If so, you need to contact Dell and have them replace the drive.

Having a disc STUCK in it now makes that a moot point, Jesse. Probably needs replacing, as you stated.
I've never been a fan of slot loaders...
This is the first time I have had a slot loader and I think it will be the last. I am intending to write to Dell to tell them as I have had quite a few problems with the machine in general.
I have been messing with it for a couple of hours and the dvd decided to pop itself out just when I was resigning myself that it was going to be stuck there.
Whoever designed these things with no manual way to get them out certainly wasn't thinking straight!
