When booting you will have an option to upgrade or do a new install.

If you upgrade you can kiss your working copy of Vista bye-bye in August and you'll be left with a hunk of metal on your desk.

I have done both, the first time I did not do a full install. then I bought a new hard drive, so I had to do a full install. it seems to work better with a clean install. if you have any problems with your computer, it carries over with a full install you leave the problems behind.
