Can you install it as a upgrade or you have to do a full install.
You can install as an upgrade to vista but if you do you cannot reverse the update. Best to install on its own partition.
You can do both. You can either do an upgrade from Vista or just simply install it all by itself. It doesn't matter, it doesn't need to be a Vista upgrade to work.
When booting you will have an option to upgrade or do a new install.
I don't know why anyone would upgrade an existing/working copy of Vista because this beta will lock you out in August of this year. If you upgrade you can kiss your working copy of Vista bye-bye in August and you'll be left with a hunk of metal on your desk.
you can reinstall your Windows Vista or buy the new Windows 7, which is what Vista was suppose to be without bugs.
you can do a full install or you can keep a copy of your previous version of windows. I have done both, the first time I did not do a full install. then I bought a new hard drive, so I had to do a full install. it seems to work better with a clean install. if you have any problems with your computer, it carries over with a full install you leave the problems behind.
