I currently have Charter in the St. Louis Area with a HD Moxi running software version 4.1.99.3LR-P.193552 The audio output of my DVR is so low with some channels both SD and HD I have to turn up my receiver so loud that I am getting feedback through my speakers. I have adusted the audio output settings on the DVR from mono to stereo to Dolby digital exploring every possible setting and nothing seems to be working right. My SAP is turned off so that is not the issue.
I can adjust my reciever to reduce the amount of feedback when it is turn to such high volume however when switching over to DVD or the Game System the volume is deafening and when turned back down to a tolerable level the audio setting that were adjusted to remove the feedback now need to be adjusted once again because it is not an optimal setting for the surround sound when watching movies on DVD this obviously is not the optimal solution.
So my question: I am looking for an inexpensive way to boost (amplify) my audio output from my MOXI? I am unsure of the best way to do this. My goal would be to prevent the increase to maximum levels just to hear the tv. (This would solve the feedback problem of the receiver), and also to have little if any volume adjustments between TV/DVD/GAME.
any help would be appreciated
I am experiencing the exact same problem with Motorola Moxi box. I have Charter in California and the low audio problem with many SD and HD programs is driving me crazy. Does anybody have any tips on how to resolve this? I have called Charter support and they are of no use.
