i would sell it for 4-5k, what its most likely worth, and with that money buy something more suitable. or if you really wanna save money, take the 5k and do what i did - buy a stock volvo 850R, has around 250HP stock, and can easily be modded to have over 300. It's the perfect car too - very low insurance rate cz its a volvo, incredbly safe, cops never follow you around, and it blows the doors off any rice rocket without trying. google a few videos of them and you'll see what i mean

First Tuner Car?

by Dan Filice - 2/5/09 12:18 PM In reply to: My First Car by whsballer_10

I've been there and done that before. My suggestion, to have fun, but fairly cheap too, is to buy a Honda product, like a Civic. No, it won't have 400hp, but it will be reliable and won't cost a fortune to repair, and there are lots of options for repair and replacement parts, and there are tons of after-market parts available. On my first Honda (a '94 Accord), I did the suspension, tires and wheels in one stage. Coil-overs, front & rear Suspension Technique sway bars, front strut brace, 17" 40-series Toyo's. What fun and it was inexpensive. It didn't win any races, but it handled like crazy, which made up for the lack of power. The suggestion of a Volvo is interesting, but I categorize it in the same group as a SAAB: Fun until something goes wrong. Then it costs a fortune, and you wait forever to get the parts. Those cars are like my old Mercedes...it's not a car to own if you are on a limited budget.

HONDAS

I agree with the Honda idea but personally **** civics...go accord all the way. 3rd generation CB7 so 90-93 accord. easy to mod, cheap to buy, cheap on insurance, cheap parts...depending on what you want. If you wanna spend like 3K you could have a car that wrecks most others, just gotta put some time on it. 90-93 accord with a H22 swap,t3 turbo at 6psi, cold air intake, blowoff, and adjustable suspension...right there you're pushing over 240hp in a car that weighs nothing...doubled with the suspension...love mine. Best car to drive, fun, save, cheap, and fast enough for under 3grand...
