TV Speakers as Surround Sound Fronts?
by rorywohl - 1/30/09 6:09 PMSo, I have this big beautiful Sony 46" LCD TV hooked up to my surround sound system, but the surround front left & right speakers are kind o' ugly. Is there any way I can use the speakers built in to the TV as the front left & right surround sound speakers? Or is this just a bad idea?

Well, my TV & A/V setup allows me to use the TV speakers

The result is two sets of speaker controllers. I would have to control all the Paradigms from the receiver & also regulate the volume level of the TV speakers separately. A bit awkward to me.
A temporary fix until you get a pair of non-ugly front L&Rs.
My bother-in-law has a 2 speakers like that. UGLY but sounds
