Windows 7 Video Controller Issues on Sony VGN-T350P

by pamon92660 - 1/29/09 6:17 PM

Ok. So I've installed Windows 7 on my Sony Vaio VGN-T350P and it can't find the proper video controller drivers. It's running the Intel 82855GM Extreme Graphics Controller 64MB. The computer is 3-4 yrs old so I'm probably pressing it for drivers but does anyone have any ideas on where to find the proper drivers. Went to the Sony site and tried the XP drivers with no support. It's running it at standard VGA and a smaller screen than normal. Thanks all!

Try The Vista Drivers..

Since Windows 7 is still in Beta, we're receiving general instructions to try the Vista drivers for your machine when all else fails.

Hope this helps.

The prevailing advice is to use the supplied OS till either they issue a fix or you find others that found a way.

Remember, On Older Machines.. There May NEVER Be W7 Driver

The hardware support my never be worth the effort for Intel or the company to create. In such cases, a new hardware device with W7 support may be advised.

Hope this helps.
