Electronic File Delivery Service

I am interesting in selling articles and white papers and academic text in PDF format. I envision it to be very much like selling software on line. Customers connect to the site, use a shopping cart, and once they purchase the items, they become immediately available for download.

There are many companies that sell software in exactly this way and I am trying to locate some good providers. I have tried Amazon.com, but their customer support tells me they are not set up for this type of electronic product. Ebay looks possible with the help of streamingdelivery.com, but the only review I could find about streamingdelivery.com was not good.

Some of the electronic photography sites are similar in that you can preview in low-res, buy, and download immediately. I can design and develop in HTML, but recognize this is very limiting. So, am really looking for a company that is full service. Any ideas?
