Buzz Out Loud feelings

by tedknaz - 1/15/09 11:49 AM In reply to: Moving on to one day a week by mollywood CNET staff

Sad to hear the news, hope the transition runs smoothly (it's a little more abrupt than the Blamer Gates transistion).

How does Tom feel about his current position w/ BOL? Are we seeing the a trend towards a permanently rotating staff?

Molly Wood, you are the sassiest and smartest woman to ever grace my digital auditory world.

You'll be missed the other 80 percent of the podcast week, for sure. Thanks for the rants and the laughs so far. I'll look forward to Mo-day's.

We'll miss you!

Hey Molly,

Not gonna lie- we're going to be missing a lot of snarky in BuzzTown now that we'll only have you on Mondays. (But, on the plus side, maybe all the awesome you-ness will build up and explode like a firecracker in a juice pouch, sending a river of pure awesomeness flowing through our ears every week. WOW! And also I love that image of a firecracker in a juice pouch.)

I've been listening since I first got a little 2GB White nano back in October of 2005... back when you still started the show (on your lunch break) with what you and Tom were the authors of, when Veronica had NO participation besides rare "cackling" in the background and when regular contributors included Tripp and The "Boys from Boston". Through the "lightning fast Earthlink guy" (yeah- I was that little kid who called in and said hi to him) and... (too many other awesome moments to put here so I just won't put anything) I've had an awesome time.

First podcast I listened to (ever), and always my favorite. You've been the legs of the wheely office chair that is the show since day one. I have confidence that Natali will do an excellent job, though there's no replacing the "Mo" in JaMoTo. Here's to a great four years and keep on buzzing!

thank you

You really set the standard Molly. I have been listening since Christmas Break 2004/2005. I received my 1st iPod as a gift & immediately looked for content. I have tried a ton of podcasts in the last 3 years; BOL, TWIT, and GeekBrief are the only ones I think that I have listened to for that long.

The speed & wittyness at which you speak sets the standard for me. Many podcasters take too long to get their point across with ums and such thrown in. We are a society of skimmers & you do a great job getting to the point with humorous means.

Thank you, love you, miss you.

So sad you're leaving BOL

by sjkfl - 1/16/09 8:55 AM In reply to: Moving on to one day a week by mollywood CNET staff

Only one thought comes to mind when I heard about Mollywood moving away from BOL.

"Bye-bye, Miss American Pie. Drove my Chevy to the levee but the levee was dry. And good ol' boys drinking whiskey and rye, singing 'this will be the day that I die'"

All I want to do now is drink a fifth of Jack in these troubled times.

Aww, we'll miss you Molly!
First it was Veronica and now you. Well, for every day of the week other than Monday, that is.

That's all I have to say! :(

It's very sad that you'll be leaving your regular spot, but I understand the need to change things up now and again and don't begrudge you for it. I just want to say thank you for all the work you've put into the show over the past many years, the laughs you've brought, and the rants that made me go "preach it sista!" Also thanks for turning my name into a running gag on the show. It still makes me feel warm and fuzzy, like brandy but without the headache the next day. Good luck with your other projects and I'll look forward to your guest hosting spots.

Molly Rocks!!

by darknesty - 1/19/09 11:42 AM In reply to: Moving on to one day a week by mollywood CNET staff

I started listening to BOL because of you. As a new listener (august 2008) it was great to hear a woman's voice on tech show who was totally smart and fun...and so for that and many reasons, I was hooked. It feels like I am listening to my friends(my really smart friends)during your show. The show is great with all of the different combinations of peeps so I know it will continue in it's awesomeness. Of course we will totally miss you, but frankly I am looking forward to see what other projects you will be involved in. I think you RoCk! I LOVE everything you do. So let's go! We're watchin' you!

The Molly Show

by zedintexas - 1/19/09 10:15 PM In reply to: Moving on to one day a week by mollywood CNET staff

I feel that BOL is the Molly Show! and this is not a change for the better. I am selfish in feeling this way but --hey! will they replace TM with Larry Magid? But seriously... Natalie is fine to add, but .... like I said, BOL is The Molly Show (with side kicks) .. please give me an itunes feed for molly nights only (in MP3) and I'll shut -up. Ed in Texas

Will miss you!

by kevsmail - 2/21/09 1:33 PM In reply to: Moving on to one day a week by mollywood CNET staff

Your spunky personality was the main reason I got hooked on BOL, so I am going to miss hearing you on the show the other 4 days of the week. I guess you'll have to be that much more potent on Monday, LOL!

p.s. I especially enjoy you being on of the few Apple naysayers at CNET, pointing out when they actually DO mess up or don't get something right. You haven't drank all your Kool-Aid just yet...
