For a School Project I need to make a video and burn it on to disk... what type of disk do you need? I have the CD-R's but when i try to burn my video using windows DVD maker it says it is the wrong type of disk or something.

it depend on what type of dvd burner/writer you have on that computer. You could put video on a cd-r; it's called making a vcd or svcd.
