so long as I get to still ROLL on the floor laughing with Gadgettes, then heck, we're just going to have to settle.

I've been listening to BOL since real early 2006. The many months she was off on maternity leave were just not the same and then shortly after she came back, V left. But I do want to say THANK you Molly for putting so much into this show and to all your shows. Yours are the only ones I subscribe to simply because it's MOLLY. (even throughout Tech in History)

I'll look forward to Mondays now, and wish you all the best.

<insert Sad Trombone here>

You were, and I hope you will continue to be, one of the best parts of BOL. When I found out, I started reading the forum thread, and actually cried. I have been listening for almost exactly one year, although I wish I had listened for longer, at the time BOL started, I was only 9, which, I hope, gives me a valid excuse. I found BOL for the strangest reason. I got a Creative Zen (just zen) for my 12th birthday. I hooked it up to the computer and was exploring its features when I saw this thing called the ZENCast Organizer. Intrigued, I began to explore the podcasts there. I was intrigued by your show and subscribed. After the ZENCast Organizer routinely froze, I used the FeedStation part of FeedDemon to put this, and other CNET podcasts on my Zen. Then I discovered the Zune. After fixing computers (the new mowing lawns) over the summer, I bought an 8GB Zune. I love the syncing experience, especially the effortless wireless sync. BOL was the first podcast I subscribed to, and is still my favorite podcast. (there's my life story, minus the first 12 years)

I will miss Molly tremendously and look forward to "Mad Molly Mondays".

Good luck with the soon-to-be-revamped Buzz Report and Eli (I know kids can be difficult, it wasn't that long since I had a brother that age.)

-Joseph, the sad 13-year old

Natali Del Conte - I'm Gone!

by ltdcs - 1/15/09 2:00 AM In reply to: Moving on to one day a week by mollywood CNET staff

After hearing the news on Twitter about Molly going down to one day a week I was sad but still planned on listening. Now that I know Natali Del Conte will be filling in for her daily I just unsubscribed to the podcast in iTunes. I'm sorry but Natali Del Conte comes off as a ditz with no real knowledge of technology. The chemistry that Tom and Molly have could have been replicated with Brian or Rafe but not Natali Del Conte. This is a sad day for Buzztown. Heck it's a buzz kill.

I'm sorry if my post offends anyone but this is how I feel.

I Agree Natali sinks the Buzz Boat for me.

Molly, you said you thought people would be more "p***ed". Well I am royally p***ed if that gives you any comfort, but I do forgive you.
As much as I love Jason and Tom you can't float a boat with a Molly size hole in it with a tissue paper patch. I have listened to many other podcasts and Natali is the least engaging, least entertaining host I have heard anywhere.

Natali replacing Molly

by jkimrey - 1/19/09 6:26 PM In reply to: Natali Del Conte - I'm Gone! by ltdcs

BOL will not be the same without Molly and her wonderful rants, but to add insult to injury - trying to replace her with Natali. A very sad day for buzz town indeed.

We'll Miss You Molly!

Molly!! Where can i see more of you? I'll miss your voice in my ear everyday, making jokes with a good deal of cynicism - where can we find you other than Gadgettes and Buzz Report?? Good Luck with whatever you decided to do.

Best Fishes

by rorywohl - 1/15/09 2:35 AM In reply to: Moving on to one day a week by mollywood CNET staff

I've been a BOL listener since the days when it was a weekly five to ten minute dispatch (can't really call that a podcast after all that's happened since, now can we?), but not a frequent contributor.

I've had a huge Molly-crush since day one and will definitely miss you, Molly. So, while this is a loss for the Buzz community, I realize that there are other things in life besides BOL (I'm guessing a young fellow by the name of Eli had something to do with your decision) and wish you all the best.

And, if we see you hosting "Amazing Race," so much the better :-)

Considering how hard it is to find time to listen to a daily show such as BOL, I can see how MAKING the show would be a full time job in its own right. Please keep us updated on your future projects (beyond the Buzz Report) because, to be honest, you are by far the best female tech journalist/personality out there today. When I listen to TWiT, and they have a female panelist on there, I will typically (always) find myself saying "Wow, Molly is so much better than this person; I wish she was on.". While I have been out of the BOL loop for quite some time, I guess I will need to try and work in the Monday episodes if that is your new BOL home.

Molly Leaving?

by fulltimecasual - 1/15/09 5:31 AM In reply to: Moving on to one day a week by mollywood CNET staff

But, but...

Tom and Molly are like Beer and Football. Like Vodka and Lime. Like Hangovers and McDonalds. I've got to stop drinking...

Anyhoo, it will be a damn shame to not hear you two together regularly. My little heart is breaking.

pete.

Molly -

Congratulations - man I will miss hearing you on a regular basis. I have been listening since early 2006 and I will always remember the pain and sadness when James was missing and the podcast when you guys told us the awful news.

On a positive note, I remember Molly announcing that she was expecting a baby in the new years prediction and it reminded me that the sun does comes out after a storm.

When I saw you on my actual TV on Sunday (during 60 minutes for the DTV promo) I had this sad feeling that we'd have to share you soon. I am happy for you, but I can't help thinking....

I thought the whole prediction thing and getting voted off was a joke. Where is the immunity mug when you need it?

Thank you for the great times and candor. No host can say SUCK IT ATT! with such feeling like you can.

I will miss you 4 out of 5 days a week but wish you the best.

ps: You can always fall back on the barmaid thing if it doesn't work out.

Good Luck, Molly! We'll Miss You

by ChrisSpera--2008 - 1/15/09 10:59 AM In reply to: Moving on to one day a week by mollywood CNET staff

One of the things that I know is that people cannot be replaced. They can only be succeeded. Natali can't replace you Molly, because, well, she just ain't you. The dynamic that you bring to BOL will be missed 4 out of 5 days, as you, Tom and Jason brought a unique flavor to the show that just can't and won't be created anywhere else. Its one of the things that made BOL as successful as it is/was/shall be (Gondaharian..?).

I found the show about 12 months ago, and have loved all the episodes that I've listened to. I think Natali is great, but think that Brian Tong would have been a better permanant choice, as his personality and style are a better match to yours than Natali's is (though I am certain she will do a great job!!). However, if you go back to my succeed vs. replacement statement, perhaps Natali is the better choice, as she will bring a different dynamic to the show on a long term basis, and the show will grow in that direction, with her influence and guidance.

So...thanks, Molly! I wish you nothing if not the best! Welcome to the Town, Natali! I know you'll do a great job, but you have some big shoes to fill...

Kindest, Most Respectful Regards,

Chris Spera
