Internet Explorer hangs ONLY when viewing hotmail emails

For some time now, I have been unable to view my hotmail emails using internet explorer. I can browse the internet and view yahoo emails for as long as I like, but if I try to read a hotmail email internet explorer hangs. I am currently using mozilla firefox without problem but I like some features on IE7. I'm running windows Vista ultimate, 64 bit edition.

This strange problem started shortly after hotmail "improved" their product. I've posted to microsoft's forums, without response. Hotmail sent their standard "thank you for responding" blurb, and promised to take into account my suggestions for future "improvements". I've disabled every addon, cleared cache settings, reset IE 7 and tried using IE 8, without any success.

Any ideas?
