problem with no usb port on laptop

hi i have a compac v5201us and both usb port borke ,dropped with plugged in cables ,my question is can i usemyexpantion pot or my 15 pi female por to adapt to a usb to work printer and oter items ,useless without usb!! thanks dan

I see it supplies the newer ExpressCard/54 Slot (also supports ExpressCard/34).

You have a few choices and the parallel port you noted is not usuable for this one.

1. Install an ExpressCard with USB ports. Here's one -> http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16815124013

20 bucks seems to be a reasonable solution.

2. Install a wifi or ethernet printer server. These are all over the map from 20 to 100 bucks. Very complicated at times to setup so let's stop here.
