Why can't the newest (80 gb) PS3's emulate PS2 games
by tmt345 - 12/28/08 10:39 PMI know that they don't include the emotion engine but couldn't the newest 80gb models at least software emulate ps2 games like some of the other models do, if they could then could the emulation ability come through a system update? I just don't see why only some systems get software emulation while others don't

The software emulator for the PS3 has been around for a very long time now, it's just not in the 40/80GB models. I would strongly encourage you, and everyone else with one of these systems, to complain relentlessly to Sony about it until they change things.
