Hi, Just got the 1500 with the Matrix Trilogy. The load time is typical of the HD-DVD and Blu-Ray technology. My problem is when I push stop a few chapters into the movie, and push {resume} play, the movie always goes back to the beginning. This is not acceptable. Regular DVDs work as they should from anypoint. What is going on here?? The Toshiba HD-DVD needed a firm ware fix for the same thing. Can somebody help me out here? Thanks. Richard
There is a firmware update available on the website.
I'm not exactly sure if that firmware addresses that specific issue, but I'll see what I can find out.
In the meantime, here is the download website for the BD-P1500 firmware if you'd like to try that in the meantime:

Thanks. I have the new fw-10/24/08. But did not take care of my stop and return problem. Richard
Did you update to the latest firmware?

I upgraded it first thing. Under my System INformation it says I have:
081126.01_091108BO_XAA
Well, I have returned my 1500 to Futureshop and purchased the 2550 hoping it wouldn't have the same problem. Unfortunately it does. I am doing an update now and hopefully it somehow fixes this annoying problem. If it doesn't I am going to return this one also and get the Panasonic BD335. I hope that this update fixes things or that someone here can help me out.
H!. I called Samsung direct, abouth the stop and go back to the very beginning. They told me there is no fix and there wont be one anytime soon. I have the 12-08-2008 latest firmware. Hope this helps.
I can confirm this. I have Samsung LN40A750 TV, and BD-P1500 with latest firmware. When watching a movie on the BD-P1500, if I use the TV remote to switch inputs from the Blu-Ray to TV, even for a few seconds, when I return to BD-P1500 the movie restarts from the beginning. It makes no difference if I first hit Stop or Pause on the BD-P1500 remote.
