Has Blu-Ray taken the lead?
by Rollbar - 1/14/08 8:24 AMSomeone reported to me that Warner went Blu-ray (had been speculation that they were going HD-DVD).
Also heard that the porn industry went HD-DVD. I didn't think that any great shake but then I was told this industry picked VHS which was the deciding factor in the VHS victory way back when.
Any of this true?

But, Sony quickly denied that & backed off. I think that had more to do with possible lawsuits than morality.
Yes, having Warner join the BluRay camp after having been HD DVD before does make movie studio content much more concentrated for BluRay.
Like politics - don't count the whole thing dead yet.
But the developemnt would make me much more likely to go for BluRay.
