Since it has dual functionality and duzz have a CIM card slot and supports both GSM and CDMA so you can use it anywhere in the world then.... it must be possible......

It lacks 850/1900/1700 WCDMA bands for ATT/T-Mo in U.S.

Unfortunately, in the U.S. it will only work on Verizon's (EVDO) 3G data network. It can roam abroad on 2100 MHz HDSPA networks though, which is nice. The model's so new that I don't know whether or not it could (yet) be unlocked for use with the GSM (voice) network in the U.S. w/ ATT or T-Mo.

ya it is to new... and i was seriously lost because i did not think verizon was coming out with their part GSM phones now! There was new about them doing that a year ago. A huge article on Gizmodo but i thought it would happen much later on, like end of 2009....

Verizon won't be switching to GSM

by Pepe7 - 11/26/08 7:19 AM In reply to: thanx by skyline6

...but will eventually switch to LTE. There's an excellent blog with some helpful resources regarding the types of technologies involved here-
http://ltewatch.blogspot.com/2008/09/motorola-starts-lte-trials-on-verizon.html

I'm not entirely certain whether we'll see CDMA/EVDO/LTE handsets before VZW actual does the switch. I do look forward to more compatibility between network technologies like the majority of the rest of the planet ;).

best,
Pedro
