how to change back to my default search engine
by Commanderlewis - 11/18/08 4:05 PMHello! I'm not sure if this belongs here, but please forgive me if it doesn't! Now I've updated my Aim today and it changed some settings in my Fire Fox. The main search engine was changed from the default to the Aim search; which i dislike! Is there a way to change back to the Firefox default search engine?!

"Go to about:config in the location bar and click on I'll be careful, I promise on the warning screen. Type keyword into the filter box.
The keyword.URL preference controls the search engine used to search from the location bar. Its value should be something containing aol.com at the moment. Right click on it and select reset to reset it back to the default google value of http://www.google.com/search?ie=UTF-8&oe=UTF-8&sourceid=navclient&gfns=1&q=. "
