Is my MP3 player broken?

I have the Samsung YP-T9J player and absolutely love it! I purchased it 2 years ago and have never had a problem with it. All of a sudden tonight, it shut off on me. Thinking that it was need of charging, I plugged it into my laptop using the USB cable and to my surprise, nothing came up on the screen to confirm the charge.
I am afraid that I've lost all my data and won't be able to retrieve it.
What to do?

you should try calling in Samsung support because something happened to my P2 and they said I still had a warranty on it. But if you don't try and convince them that you never used your warranty and they will defiantly fix it for you. Plus it's free so don't worry.
