I want to buy a good camera but I am confused between A650IS or S5IS.
I have read few good reviews of both A650IS or S5IS.
Can one who has used/using Canon A650IS or S5IS give their suggestions?
Here is a link to the comparison of specifications:

Both are excellent cameras.
If you don't need a 12X optical zoom or a hotshoe for an external flash, then get the A650IS.

Don't buy the adapter kit and wide angle lens kits. They don't work if you want to use the flash for fill or whatever. The adapter is so large it leaves a big shadow in the bottom right hand corner of every flash picture. Really stupid design. Camera needs a hot shoe for external flash so it will be higher and over the adapter. The Wide Angle lens is also a joke becuase the adapter blocks light to every corner of the image...black spots...so you have to zoom in to get these out of your picture. Maybe they sent me the wrong adapter, but the box says "Fits Canon A650 and similar Models." Wasted $250 on these parts that do not work.
How did you spend $250 on the adapter kit and wide angle adapter?
Why not look at the replacement Canon SX10?
