I have Windows XP Pro, sp3 and I use Mozilla Thunderbird 2.0.0.17 email client.
When I receive a message in Thunderbird and highlight it to read it, it almost always says, "To protect your privacy, Thunderbird has blocked remote images in this message." And way over on the right is a button that says "Load Images."
Is there a way to make Thunderbird automatically load images?
Thanks,

Why would you want to do that? Not only is it a privacy protection mechanism, it's also a security mechanism. Not loading remote images by default helps to reduce spam, reduces your risk of exposure to booby trapped images, and just from having to look at and download a bunch of useless crap that someone felt compelled to put into the message because the content fell rather flat.
I'm sure there is a way, and I'm sure it's one of those things that's well hidden with good reason.
As a safer workaround for people you trust, in the address book of all places, there is a setting that lets you specify that messages from this person can load remote images by default. Not exactly where I would put that option, but it does at least make some degree of sense when you think about it. Just be sure you don't tick the box for everyone. That would be like poking a bunch of holes in the bottom of a water tank.
I think this will answer your question. I was having this problem too until I found this.
