question about DVD burners.................

what are the different kinds of DVD burners? and can i burn a DVD that i own with a DVD burner drive on my computer?

DVD+R and R/W (I will drop the R/W...)
DVD-R
DVD-RAM (nearly gone now)
DUAL LAYER DVD recordable media.

And that's about it. The drive you select will support some or all of the above.

Your DVD recorder can duplicate most of today's DVDs with ease. It's widely discussed but I will not speak (or write) the name of the freely available software.

I think you already mentioned the name of the software in a previous post on some other thread. But alas... its DvdShrink :)

I think you require a dvd burner software, you can try a freeware burner dvd software.
