I don't know if this is the correct forum for this issue, but it is part of Download.com.
When I check for the free MP3 of the Day, it's just coming up to "Page Not Found". This started yesterday. I was last able to view the site on Tuesday, but when I went to check last night, it wasn't there. Is anyone else having this issue or is it just me? I haven't changed my browser or done anything that might affect it not showing up. It's only a couple of the pages I'm not able to view, but everything else on CNET and Download.com are fine.
This first one is supposed to go to the list of artists that gets one added every day:
http://music.download.com/8300-5_32-13.html?categoryId=9857555&t=1207708966328
And this is an artists page I wanted to check out:
http://music.download.com/jonasbrothers/3600-8695_?tag=MDL_fd_features
I thought maybe it was a temporary issue and it would have been resolved by now, but this is the second day. I'm sure whoever manages those pages is working on it, but it just seems like maybe they don't even know about it.
If everyone else can get the pages to show instead of "Page Not Found", please let me know.
Thanks in advance.
my link is not working either!!!
I'm having the same problem, you are not alone.
Thanks to you two for confirming this. I guess they must be having problems. I suppose somebody could write to them and find out what's going on, but I'm sure they should be aware of it by now and are probably working on it and hopefully will have it back up soon.
music.download.com is slated to ultimately be removed as its services are merged with another Cnet property, but so far communication on when and where that will happen has been to a minimum. At this point I'm not sure if it's a glitch or a purposeful removal, so hopefully someone from the download.com team will reply soon one way or the other.
John
I actually did send them an email myself earlier, but no reply yet.
Sorry to hear they want to remove it, but they could at least let people know about it instead of just removing it. I'm sure it's a popular enough part of CNET. Many visitors will probably not be happy if it's permanently removed and I'm sure they will be flooded with emails as a result. I hope they are prepared for that. If they get enough response from it, they may decide to keep it up, but there still should be a blog or something in their newsletters or somewhere about this one way or the other.
It's back up -

Sorry for the inconvenience.
Thanks for letting us know.
I went to check on the other page, but it's still not there:
http://music.download.com/jonasbrothers/3600-8695_?tag=MDL_fd_features
It's linked from the main page:
http://music.download.com/
I haven't checked any other links on that page, but it might not hurt to check all the links to make sure they work.
