Hey, all you Dare owners, mine's coming today. What's the best way to protect the lens of what sounds like a pretty decent camera on this phone? Actually, I guess this question would apply to lots of phones since very few seem to have lens covers anymore.
Thanks for your help!
Get a good case. I can't remember ever seeing a cover for a cell-phone lens, unless it was built in my the manufacturer and "slid" over the lens.
Most of the cases that "cover" the dare (skins, plastic housings, ect.) still leave the lens exposed. If you want to protect the lens, I recommend a "pouch" type case, like the ones that you clip to your belt. That will at least keep the lens covered when in the case.
Have fun with your new toy!
After quizzing camera phone experts in a few venues, the best idea I've heard so far is to use a small, cut-to-fit piece of clear static cling screen protector material over the lens. I've tried it and compared the pics with and without the protector, and visually I can't tell the difference.
